Vibrant Art Deco charger designed by Charlotte Rhead for Crown Ducal. The celebrated Persian Rose pattern is richly tube‑lined and hand‑painted in jewel tones on a speckled ground with an orange rim. Printed Crown Ducal mark and factory “Rhead” script to the reverse. A striking display piece for a gallery wall or sideboard.

Printed Crown Ducal “Made in England” backstamp of the 1930s and the factory-applied facsimile “Rhead” script. On Crown Ducal wares this script is a standard mark signifying a Charlotte Rhead design rather than a personal autograph.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with uniform age crazing and minor glaze/paint rubs as shown; no chips or cracks. Old hanging cord removed on request.

Charlotte Rhead (1885–1947) was one of the leading British Art Deco ceramic designers. At Crown Ducal (from 1932) she developed richly coloured, tubelined patterns influenced by Near Eastern and Arts & Crafts motifs. Persian Rose was among her most popular large-scale floral designs, often produced as display chargers like this example.
