Edwardian Cane Seated and Backed Rocking Chair
A handsome Edwardian period rocking chair with shaped crest rail, square section arms, rockers, and double canework: a vertical cane back panel and a drop-in cane seat. Warm medium mahogany tone; original finish with honest age wear.
Note: Seat is only 34cm off of the ground.
Condition:
- Back panel canework present and serviceable, small hole present in middle near the bottom (see picture).
- Seat canework present and serviceable, colour loss due to use (see picture).
- Light knocks, scratches and finish wear consistent with age; small shrinkage crack to crest rail (stable). Solid frame.
- Chair re-waxed to bring out existing patina and finish.
