Mason’s Patent Ironstone China – Chinoiserie panel jug, late 19th / early 20th century (c. 1891–1910).
Octagonal body with a scalloped “pie-crust” rim and moulded spout, snake/rope-moulded handle.
Transfer printed and hand-enamelled. Richly coloured brick-red background with images of Chinese figures in landscapes; pretty floral borders in yellow/green.
Mark: printed blue crown cartouche “MASON’S / PATENT IRONSTONE / CHINA / ENGLAND” with painter’s numbers in red to base.
Size: 17 cm high.
Detailed Condition: Good decorative order; minor rubbing to enamels, light interior age marks; a tiny rim nibble or two consistent with age.
